1st outbound trip (updated)

WARNING: Long post ahead.

PE and I didnt go home on xmas break. Something happened so PE didnt go home. We were in the hostel on xmas and it was really bad. That was actually good bcoz if PE gone home, then i'll b very lonely here. Apart from watching drama/movies and games, nothing else could be done to kill time. Very bad.

After all the lonely xmas, we suddenly planned to visit S'pore. Since PE visited S'pore long time ago and I've never step into S'pore, we dont dare to go Spore without guide. We browsed online for info. PE then came up with a solution; which is to join the trip organized by students of UTM. RM 85 each. Since we already have passports, so we only need to pay RM80.

Before that, for dinner, we had dinner at the cafe. Met my ex-room mate there. Talked for a while, and she told us just came back from S'pore. She told us: "All policemen on the street of Singapore are young and handsome!" I'm very surprised with that. I've never hear such comment before. Honestly, LOLed while eating (how rude).

Important mission: Watch out for policemen.

PE decided to contact the person in charge and i said to her: "We'll go if there are seats available." The guy actually thought we were some En Rosli's friends and replied some nonsense. LOL.
Earlier, we were told that N and PL(gf) are going Spore with trips, so we decided to call to check if we are with the same person. No doubt, the same guy. Haha. Looks like the world is small. Then i said to N: "If the guy came and collect the fee, then we're going."

The guy came after 10pm (almost 11pm i think) and he told us he was sleeping earlier. LOL. Tired of bringing trips i guessed. Watever it is, we paid and prepare ourselves for SINGAPORE!!!

Another problem: since we decided to go out of the sudden, i didnt prepare SGD or even MYR. I only have RM70+ at that time. PE paid all my expenses and i felt bad bout that.

The next morning(26/12), left UTM roughly at 7.20am. Reached CIQ around 8.30am. I was nervous at that time. Never been to S'pore before. Really excited. Held my passport in my hands and got really excited. Accessed the automated machine at Msia immigration.

OH! The 1st leng chai detected! PE said: U saw that guy? oh~ so handsome. XD Something not right here; Msia immigration with chinese and handsome? Description: Tall, Wide chest, imagine a guy in white blue uniform. That's miracle. I'll go S'pore more often. Hoping to see him every time we pass the Msia immigration.

Next, to the Spore Custom. To go Spore, we need to fill in a white card. Basically with ur particulars, bla, bla, bla. Nothing special in S'pore custom. Just that Spore is really strict. No pepper spray. No camera in Custom.

Next, we're in Spore!1st impression: Spore is really greener. Lots of trees. A lot more compared to Msia. And all the trees are green and looks healthier than Msia's. XD

1st Stop: ESPLANADE (equivalent to Msia's Istana Budaya / a venue for art performance)
"Bangunan durian" (Uncle Driver said)
The minute we stepped out of the bus, N said: "Welcome to Spore." Sounded like Amazing Race to me. LOL

First Photo in S'pore: Esplanade

2nd Stop: MERLION PARK (Spore's must-go)
Singapore's very main attraction. Lots of people there. Looks like mr/mrs mermaid+lion must work very hard to continue to throw up. LOL

3rd stop: CHINATOWN
lots of food available. We ate those with lots of ppl lining up. Haha. But didnt manage to taste all. Too limited time and we're saving for more food ahead.
Total: SGD 3
a landmark of Chinatown

4th stop:
GEYLANG
yeah, the famous place for prostitute. Why are we there? It's because it is a Malay neighbourhood. Since we are in the Malays' group tour, we need to bear with their prayers' time, food, etc.
Total: SGD 2.50
Went to Fair Price, a supermarket in Geylang. Walked in for air-cond and to see wat's available in Spore and wat's not available in Spore.
Available in Msia but cheaper in Spore. SGD2.15 (~MYR5.40)
Bought Gardenia bun(not available in Msia) x2 , Meiji's Hello Panda x1, Nissin's instant noodle x1, oreo x1
Total: SGD 5.80 (after 7% GST)
N and PL said they gone to the wet market and found no flies. That's another weird thing in Spore.

5th stop:
VIVO CITY (Spore's largest retail and lifestyle destination)
1st pair of policemen found. A Malay and Chinese pair. WOW! handsome. PE and I were stunned to see handsome policemen. They'll look really good chasing thefts.
beautiful xmas deco. But by the time we reached, it was about to rain. :(
A huge xmas tree @ Vivo City
nice xmas deco
This is Doulos, the ship @ HarbourFront. The same ship we gone in Pasir Gudang. HERE
Look at the sky. It's dramatic.
Reminds me of some movies (The Day After Tomorrow/2012/...)

Remark: Since Vivo City and Sentosa is linked, we traveled back and forth between Vivo City and Sentosa.
6th stop: SENTOSA (Spore's must-go)
they're still developing Sentosa. Hopefully Sentosa will be fully developed before my graduation.
It was raining when we reach. Not heavy rains but heavy enough to spoil the mood and scenery.
By Sentosa Express (monorail/SGD3), we stopped by Beach Station.
Sentosa Express pass [SGD3]
PE looking for place of attraction. On the way to Beach station via Sentosa Express
Walked along the beach. Settled down at Siloso Beach. Since the rain is not very heavy, people continue to play volleyball and so on. One fit man found. This guy's body is so so so attractive. PE and I were looking at his body while he's playing beach volleyball with his friends. 5 guys and a lady. Description: His chest is wider than his waist. We both agreed that he might be a policeman who's not on duty. This is bcoz the lady and other guys with him are all in good shape. They're physically trained.
"the so-called Muscle guy's beach"
Another Merlion
Spore's historical museum
Since it was still raining, we gone back to Vivo City for dinner and shopping. Basically, things sold in Spore priced the same in Msia, so we didnt buy anything except for those grocery.

As for dinner, we had in Banquet; a food court in Vivo City. We ordered Western food. PE's Honey Grilled Fish and I had Chicken Chop with Orange sauce. Total: SGD 10.50
* too hungry, forgotten to take picture/ disturbed by handsome policemen*
When we were deciding wat to have in the food court, more policemen were found. Haha. He was waiting for his take away western food. No doubts, they work in pairs. His partner came a while after that, and they're good looking. We were wondering if Sporen must be good-looking to be a policeman.
The 2nd pass since we need to gather in Beach Station
We were told to gather in Beach Station at 8.30pm. Plan changes when we couldnt get tickets to Songs of the Sea (sold-out). A text was sent to almost everyone. Everyone was told to gather at Beach Station at 7pm so that we can stop by OrchardRoad. We didnt receive the text. Most of the people were waiting and looking for us. How bad. But we're not the only one. There are some who didnt receive the text on time.
Whatever it is. At 8.30pm, we traveled back to Msia. By 10.30pm, reached UTM. Had my shower and headed to bed straight away. Very very tired. My ex-room mate didnt lie bout the policemen.

I'm in love with Spore. Hopefully, I can work with Genting (newly known as Resort World). Then I can stay in Sentosa.

To Sock Hua: if u happened to read my post, this message is for you. "You must go to S'pore ASAP. S'pore is your paradise." [All the highlighted words are for you.]
