"lion-city"

Hey hey...
Happy CNY!!
Just came back from Singapore last night. Currently suffering minor injuries: wounded toes, aching feet, back pain, tired body, dehydration, etc. Oh ya! and darker skin too. [if getting dark is consider as an injury]

2D2N trip: Klang-JB-Spore
1st night: [sneaking into UTM]
we left klang by bus (RM30) at 4.30pm. Reached Hentian Sri Putri (Skudai) at 10.00pm+. A almost 6 hours ride that involves lots of waiting and patient. Never had such a ride before. Normally it takes around 4 hours+ from klang to JB. unfortunately, we boarded to a bus driven by an old uncle. haihz.
Since we left at 4+, we didnt had our dinner yet. A friend came to pick us up and we dropped by McDonald's before sneaking into UTM.
We had no trouble sneaking in and next, [tara] we reached my room! Had some rest and food before settling down for sleep.

2nd day: [lost.search.found]
Woke up bout 9am++, prepared ourselves and left my hostel at 10am. Waited for almost 1 hour at the bus stop at the UTM's main entrance to JB, but none came. Since we waited for quite some time, we decided to wait in another bus stop nearby. To do that, we need to transit ourselves to Jusco Tmn U by car. Called for delivery service(by student) but she could not make it, so we took a taxi. Upon arriving at the bus stop, the bus was arriving at the bus stop at the same time. Boarded onto the bus (RM3.30 each) and it took us back to the place we waited. We wasted RM4.30 for an unnecessary trip.
Reached JB around 11am. Had our brunch before departing for Singapore(~2.4x). We were looking around for Old Town but could find it. Found Kim Gary, so we had Kim Gary (RM30+) at City Square.
After brunch, walked to CIQ (Custom & Immigration Quarantine Complex). Had all the procedures done, boarded on the public bus to Woodlands, Singapore. 2 buses available, CW1: Kranji, CW2: Queen St. Since we only learn about Singapore mainly from the net, we dont know where to go. Haha. We decided to pick the cheaper one which is the CW1 to Kranji (RM0.90). Upon reaching Woodlands, we disembarked the bus and enter Singapore officially.
After settling the entry, we do not know how to leave the checkpoint. haihz. Observed what others did and follow. Haha. That involved lots of confusion.
The next thing, we got off at Kranji MRT station. Bought ourselves a ez-link card (S$15 each). Traveled to Orchard by MRT. Walked along Orchard Rd and learned that Orchard Rd is a place of luxury. Didnt go into any shopping complexes, but spent our time walking round and round, crossing all streets. Then found the Singapore Visitors Centre @ Orchard. Took some rest at the centre and was directed to Little India for budget hotels.
Went to look for budget hotels by foot and ended up at Fragrance Hostel (S$20 per bed); a backpackers hostel. A beautiful hostel with 6 beds in a room where u might be sharing room with outsiders. Very clean toilet, very clean room and it's pretty new.
Room B101
After settling down, we were hungry and we needed water. Just few steps from the hostel, we bought water (2 1.5L for S$2.90) and dinner (Cup Noodles+soft drinks for S$2) @ 7-11. The staff was very generous to offer us 2 packs of chicken rice. :) Microwaved the chicken rice and left it in the hostel for later consumption.
Took bus to Merlion Park. Got lost as they have lots of bus and the buses are moving really fast. Got offered help from a Singaporean lady and boarded on the bus a while later. Do not know where to get off, we decided to hop off and walk. Got off the bus and got lost in Marina Square. Merlion is actually behind Marina Square but we spent around 30 minutes looking for it. *swt*
Found Esplanade and Merlion Park is nearby.

Snapped the night view of Singapore River and Merlion. Next walked back to Esplanade and visited some exhibition from Chengdu with pretty lights and lanterns.

At the exhibition, met the Prime Minister of the Republic of SingaporeLee Hsien Loong. *swt*
Walked from Esplanade to Little India that night. Bought some supper and chatted till midnight.

3rd day: [ache vs tiredness]
Woke up at 9am, got everything packed and checked out at 10am. Traveled to Chinatown and had breakfast there.
Bought souvenir (3 t-shirts for S$10). Next traveled to Sentosa via Sentosa Express (S$3 each).
pretty packed with people and we didnt really managed to explore Sentosa, skipped here and there. We went to the newly-opened Casino!! yeah!!
but didnt managed to enter because we were wearing slippers and short pants. Snapped some photos at the entrance of Universal Studio
the universal trademark of Universal Studios
the main entrance to the theme park

LiSun and Universal Studios @ Singapore
Left Sentosa at 3pm+ and went to Bugis. Things are cheap there but we bought everything we needed from Chinatown. Walked a little at Bugis St and went back to the hostel to pick up the luggages. Then traveled to Woodlands to enter Msia.
We were struggling with pains and very tired from all the walking in Spore. Upon arriving at JB, we were pretty lost as we do not know how to travel back to KL. With some assistance, we managed to reach Larkin.
Bought 7pm bus ticket (RM31.10) to KL but was told to wait till 7.45pm. Had McDonald's for dinner. Waited at the platform since 7.30pm and the bus only arrived about 8.10pm. Departed from Larkin at 8.30pm sharp with only 9 passengers on the bus.
Reached Puduraya at 12.30am and my body giving low battery signals. Generous PL and MC came to pick us up and sent us home :)

Had a nice sleep but I'm still exhausted.

Total expenses: RM140.65 (S$58)[all expenses in Spore] + RM 71.10 (2-ways bus express) + meal in JB (~RM30)
= RM 241.75
